uicide Or Murder? Young Lovers Commit Joint Suicide After Parents Refused To Bless Their Union

Two young Indian lovers who whose family were against their relationship because they are not from the same tribe and practiced different religions decided to committed joint suicide.

Two lovers joined by death.

The bodies of a young couple were found hanging on a tree in the Indian town of Muzaffarnagar in Uttar Pradesh, on the same day the woman was supposed to get married to a man chosen for her by her parents.

The death of Rajneesh Kumar, 21, and Imrana Bano, 18, has sparked questions whether the two committed joint suicide or they were murdered as authorities try to look deeper into the matter.

But close friends are of the view that Kumar and Bano must have committed suicide because they were not given permission by their families to marry each other because they belonged to different communities.

Kumar is Hindu while Bano is Muslim but they did not allow their different religions to come between the love they had for each other, according to a friend close to Kumar. The couple had been missing since the night before they were found dead, police said.

Police said that the couple had been in love for about 4 years, but their families were against them getting married.

Bano’s family found her a man of her community, and she was supposed to get married on the day of her death.
