Governor Ayo Fayose of Ekiti State has sacked a Permanent Secretary in the state civil service, Tunde Alokan.
Alokan was sacked by Fayose due to his close relationship with former governor, Kayode Fayemi, according to Punch.
Fayose however denied the reports that he had sacked the PS due to his relationship with the former governor.
“Fayemi
also sacked some permanent secretaries while in office, so what has
happened is not new.
The governor is not aware that Dr. Fayemi attended
Alokan’s late father’s burial, so attributing his sack to that is cheap
blackmail,” the governor said on Monday, May 5, 2015, through his Chief Press Secretary, Idowu Adelusi.
Fayose defeated Fayemi to win the state governorship elections in June 2014.
