The angered and pained hairstylist related how her three friends – Habeeb Adisa (25), Kehinde Aderinoye (25) and Ilyas Ogundimu (27) forcefully had carnal knowledge of her with a well hatched plan. The victim made it known that she could have allowed the shocking incident to go just like that but she did not want any other girl to fall prey into the hands of these young men who disguised as her friends for two years just to rape her.

  

“I became friends with them as neighbours two years ago when my mother first rented an apartment in the area. “Kehinde began to make advances to me. But I told him we were friends and did not want to be in a relationship with him. I have always rejected his advances.

 “Later he would tell Habeeb and Ilyas to approach me to appeal on his behalf to accept his proposal, but I made them to understand that I could not go out with him. But we still talked and sat together in the neighbourhood as friends.“In the morning of that day, around 9.30am, I went over Kehinde’s house like I usually did sometimes when I had nothing to do at home. I trusted them completely and usually went there to while away the time.

“Habeeb and Ilyas were there also. We were just talking when Habeeb suddenly came to me and picked me up. He threw me on the bed and I told him that I didn’t like that kind of play. I said, ‘If this is part of your playful habit I am not up for it.’

“But as he threw me on the bed, before I could stand up, he lay on me and pinned me down firmly. Kehinde quickly came over and started to remove my underwear. That was when I knew what they wanted to do. I struggled with them but they pinned me down and took turns to r*pe me.
“When I was screaming, one of them quickly went to the CD player, which was on at the time and turned on the music to maximum volume so that it would drown out my voice.”

Obafemi Martins Nigerian Striker Out For 3-6 Weeks With Groin Injury

Nigerian and Seattle Sounders striker Obafemi Martins is reportedly out for three to six weeks with a groin injury which he picked up during Tuesday night’s 3-1 defeat to the Portland Timbers.

The former Inter Milan striker went down in the 87th minute and was taken off the field on a stretcher.

Sounders head coach Sigi Schmid revealed that Martins could be sideline three to six weeks.

Coward: Man Who 'Macheted' Wife In Sleep "She Always Beat Me Up"

Ita Daniel, 71, is currently being held by the Akwa Ibom State Police Command along with others for killing his wife with a machete.

Daniel, who hails from Mbi Okporo village in Nsit-Ibium Local Government of the state, killed his wife, Mrs. Alice Daniel, 60, while she was sleeping in her one-room apartment.

According to the Assistant Commissioner of Police, (ACP) in-charge of the state Criminal Investigation Department, Mike Okoli, said the suspect had confessed to the crime and would soon be arraigned in court.

The 71-year-old man on his part, told newsmen that his wife was fond of bringing men to the house.

“Each time I complained, she beat me up. There was a day we had a disagreement and fight ensued in which she injured me. On that fateful day I was sleeping in the room when she came and said she would either kill me or I kill her; that is how it happened,’’ he said.

Baby factory with 9 pregnant young girls discovered in Enugu

A baby factory was uncovered on June 13th in Etiti, Amankwo-Ngwo Udi Local Government Area of Enugu state by men of the 9th Mile Division of Enugu Police command. The baby factory which was operated by one Obinna, was keeping 9 young pregnant ladies, according to Vanguard.



Enugu state police spokesperson, Ebere Amaraizu confimed the discovery.

We had strong intelligence report about his activities. We had to put a tab on him for some time which eventually paid off. Nine pregnant girls at various stages of pregnancy were rescued” he said .

When interrogated, the operator claimed he ran a maternity home and not a baby factory. He said he got approval from the state’s Ministry for Women Affairs

“I decided to run the maternity from my house. I am supposed to inform the Social Development and Women Affairs Ministry within 24 hours of admitting any pregnant women. I called the Ministry on phone instead of writing them. The people I admitted came without referral.”

One of the victims, Ugwu Christable, while narrating how she got to the baby factory said she was defiled and brought to the baby factory to give birth

“I could not report the incident to my parents until it resulted to pregnancy. I was forced to marry an old man or leave the family which made me seek assistance through one of my aunties. She was the one that directed me to the home. At the home, all we do is to eat. We were asked to list what we want with the agreement that after delivery, we will leave our babies and go.”she said.

A 14-Year-Old Girl: My Dad Had Sex With Me With Condom To Test My Virginity

A 14-year-old girl (name withheld) said she felt bad and humiliated after she was defiled twice by her father. The culprit, Adeboye Waheed, 48, has been arrested by policemen attached to Zone 2, Onikan, Lagos. The suspect, who was paraded before journalists yesterday, blamed the act on strange influence which befell him. The victim lives with her father, step mother and four siblings on Adama Araro Street in Ikorodu area of Lagos.

 

According to New Telegraph, the lid was blown open when the victim, an SS1 student of Araromi Isoju Grammar School in Ikorodu, ran to a near-by church to report her ordeal. She said: “My father started checking my private part, to check if I have started mensuration in 2014. On a particular day in November of the same year, I was sleeping on the floor of our one room apartment in the night, he removed my rapper.

My step mother was not around that day. “He used his fingers to touch my private part and asked if I was menstruating. He also asked me if anybody had ever had sex with me, I said no. He said he would use his joystick to test me to confirm the truth. That was how he forced his ‘manhood’ on me and covered my mouth not to shout. “From that time, I started bleeding till morning when I became weak and he did nothing.

He warned me not to let anybody know.”

The victim said her father repeated the act on March 5 this year. She added: “I was browsing with someone’s phone in the house when he asked me to remove my clothes. He put on condom and had sex with me.

I felt very bad inside me but I could do nothing.

The next day, I packed my belongings and ran away from the house to a near-by church. “I really felt humiliated. Before I left, I threw away all the condoms he bought and dropped a note that he should not look for me. At the church, I narrated what happened to me to them and they took the matter to the police.” Waheed, who earlier refuted the allegation, claimed that a strange influence came upon him and he did not know what he was doing. He said: “Please police, journalists forgive me; I don’t know what came over me. I have been beaten thoroughly by Oodua People’s Congress (OPC) boys; that is why my eyes are swollen.”

Doctors In China Remove 420 Kidney Stones From One Patient

Surgeons in China who removed 420 kidney stones from a single patient blamed the man’s tofu-heavy and water-light diet for the condition.

Doctors at the Dongyang City People’s Hospital said the patient, identified as Mr. Ho, 55, complained of stomach pain in May and a CT scan of his left kidney revealed it was filled with 420 stones.  Dr. Wei Yubin told the Quianjiang Evening Post the man’s love of tofu and lack of water likely led to his condition.

“Soy products, especially gypsum tofu, are very high in calcium, the excess of which cannot be excreted from the body without a sufficient intake of water,” he said.

Doctors said Ho, who previously had 10 kidney stones removed about 20 years ago, could have lost his kidney if he had waited any longer to receive medical attention. The man’s uncomfortable condition may have been painful, but it fell far short of a world record — Guinness World Records said a surgeon in India removed 172,155 kidney stones from a patient’s left kidney in 2009

Boko Haram Attacks Borno Village, Kill 15, Burn Down 500 Homes

Fifteen people were killed when Boko Haram attacked a remote village in Borno State, opening fire and burning homes, residents told Agence France Presse (AFP) yesterday.



The attack happened at about 13:00 GMT on Monday in Huyum, in the Askira-Uba district of Borno State, which residents said has been hit repeatedly in recent weeks by the Islamist militants.

“The whole village was burnt by Boko Haram gunmen. We lost around 500 homes”, said Bukar Zira, who fled to the commercial hub of Mubi in neighbouring Adamawa State as the rebels moved in.

Zira said the insurgents surrounded the village and opened fire before moving in, sprinkling petrol on homes, many of which are mud-brick with straw roofs, then setting them alight.

“We have so far lost 15 people and one was injured. People in the whole village moved out to different parts of Borno and Adamawa,” he added.

Another resident, Peter Malgwui, said Boko Haram had mounted several raids against neighbouring villages in recent weeks, looting food supplies and homes.

“They completely burnt the whole village. Not a single home was spared”, he added, giving the same death toll as Zira.

NAFDAC Bans Ogogoro Consumption

he honeymoon is over for local gin aka ogogoro lovers as the federal government has placed a ban on the drinks.

The ban comes in the wake of several deaths in Rivers and Ondo States due to food poisoning linked to consumption of local gin.

Addressing newsmen, the Director General of National Agency for Food and Drugs Administration Control (NAFDAC), Dr Paul Orhii, said about the unfortunate deaths,

"A preliminary investigation by the National Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) and WHO ruled out any infectious diseases and confirmed the possibility of poisoning as the cause and in turn advised NAFDAC to conduct further investigation. The symptoms suffered by victims included vomiting, abdominal pain, blurred vision, headache,  dizziness and loss of consciousness with subsequent sudden deaths of 18 victims."

Orhii who was joined at the briefing by NCDC Director, Prof. Abdulrahman Nasidi, explained that all indications showed that "these symptoms are the hallmark signs of methanol poisoning."

The NAFDAC boss  further said that the "results of the laboratory investigation revealed methanol toxicity. Five samples were found to contain high concentration of methanol in them."

Based on this and the apparent high risk with the consumption of locally made gin, Orhii said considering it has become imperative to "warn the public to desist from the consumption of unregistered locally made spirits (ogogoro) and other unregistered bitters."

There are reports that pop singer Olu Maintain is broke. According to a report, Olu Maintain's landlord had asked him to evacuate his house because of his failure to pay his rent. 

So bad is the singer’s situation, that he is said to have been given a quit notice by his landlord for failure to pay his house rent. Olu Maintain lives on Akin Osiyemi street,Off Allen Avenue Ikeja, Lagos.

It is said that Olu Maintain would have been kicked out of his home by uniformed men if not for the timely intervention of a good neighbour.
