Female Singer, Zara Gretti’s Grave Missing At Ikoyi Cemetery
Nigerian female act, Zara Gretti who died March 28th, last year after battling Multiple Sclerosis for years before finally given up the ghost is now missing in her grave. A NET reporter who went to Ikoyi Cemetery to see her grave in preparation of their report on her 1st death anniversary got the shock of his life when Zara’s grave was missing despite searching the whole of the cemetery. The cemetery attendant also confirmed to the reporter that she was actually buried there on the 4th of April, 2014 according to their register.

Girl Born With Elephant Trunk Worshipped As God
A baby girl born with an “elephant trunk” is being worshiped as
a Hindu god in a village in Aligarh, Uttar Pradesh, in northern India.
The girl, who has not yet been named, was born to Rambabu Sarvesh and his wife Banna Devi on Thursday. Since then thousands of people from all over the country have flocked to the small village to see the new-born infant. The locals believe that the baby girl is an incarnation of the Hindu deity Ganesha, who also has a trunk.
According to the girl’s aunt, crowds of worshippers had since arrived to make offerings to the divine child. She said: “My sister-in-law gave birth to a girl at 7:00 a.m. and her face looks exactly like Lord Ganesha. This is why whoever hears about her is coming here to get a glimpse of the baby and are making whatever offerings possible.”
The girl, who is the fourth child in the family, has facial lump between her eyes that divided her nose in two when the girl was still in the womb. Doctors will examine the baby girl to find out the extent of her condition and whether they need to operate. Now they suggest that deformity was most likely due to a gene mutation, as a result of malnutrition and increased pollution.
Mr Sarvesh, who is already a father to three children, earns 250 rupee (N750) a day, and hopes that his daughter’s birth will change the family’s fortunes. Several months ago a baby boy who was born with four arms and four legs was aslo hailed as “God’s baby” due to his resemblance to Hindu god Brahma.

Up to 100 bodies have been found in a mass grave near the Nigerian town of Damasak, after troops from Chad and Nigeria liberated the locality from Boko Haram militants.
The mass grave of dozens of bodies, some beheaded, was found by Niger and Chad soldiers under a concrete bridge on one of the main roads leading out of Damasak.
Azem Bermandoa Agouna, a colonel of the Chadian army, told the AFT news agency that he had seen “about 100 bodies spread under a bridge just outside the town. There are heads here and bodies there, the mass grave has become like a termite mound.” Reuters says witnesses counted some 70 corpses.

Teenage Boys Get 30 Year In Jail For defiling 87-Year-Old Woman
Two boys in California have been sentenced to 30 years in prison for the r*pe and torture of an 87-year-old woman.
The woman was in a nursing care facility in Hemet, when the 14 and 15-year-old boys broke into her room, tortured and defiled her. The woman was severely injured and was left unable to walk. She now uses a wheelchair.
Ruben Jose Melanson and Raymond Michael Miranda, were found guilty of the r*pe and torture. According to authorities, the teens poured bleach into the elderly woman’s mouth and over her body. The woman was eventually able to press the emergency button, alerting the building manager to her plight.
The boys fled, but were soon found by police and arrested. The boys who are now aged 15 and 16, were sentenced to 30 years in prison. They will be in a juvenile prison until they turn 18 years old. They will then be transferred to an adult prison facility.

Major Grief: Gabriel Igbenedion’s Television Station Got Burnt To The Ground
The Benin office of Independent Television and Radio belonging to a Benin Billionaire Gabriel Igbenedion was burnt to the ground on Saturday, March 7.
The cause of the fire has not yet been visible but Igbinedion’s daughter, Omosede has expressed the belief to City People that it was the work of arsonists. She said:
“It is clear that the attack on ITV is purely sabotage, a calculated attempt,”
Meanwhile, Omosede is contesting for the Ovia Federal Constituency seat at the House of Representatives on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

78-Year-Old Man Defiles 6-Year-Old Girl
A 78-year-old man identified as Oji Nnachi from Nkelu-Ezi, Ogwuma in
Afikpo South Local Government Area of Ebonyi State has allegedly defiled
a six-year-old girl, Uchechi Udume
The father of the victim, Nnachi Ndukwe who lamented the defilement, told New Telegraph that blood was gushing out from his daughter’s private part after the incident. He therefore called on the police to investigate the matter and ascertain whether the suspect did not transmit any sexually transmitted disease to the victim.
He blamed the defilement on the absence of his wife; Ogechi, who he said left him and married another man, subjecting him to difficulty in taking proper care of his children as he is always busy looking for money carter for the children.
Explaining the incident, Ndukwe said: ’’I came back from work and saw people gathered in my compound and when I asked what happened, they narrated the incident to me. Then I asked to see my daughter and when she was brought to me I saw blood coming from her private part. “I don’t blame the man, I blame my wife who left me and married another man. Since she left there has been noone around to take proper care of my children.”
The suspect is said to have been arrested by the Afikpo South Police Command. When contacted, the DPO said it is only the State Police Headquarters Abakaliki that can comment on the matter as the Area command has no jurisdiction to speak to New Telegraph.

Now, 53-year-old Melanie Nash has pleaded guilty to numerous charges after digging up the grave of her father to find a real will because she was unhappy with the share of her inheritance.
While digging up the grave, she found vodka and cigarettes beside her father. Nash was one of the four defendants in the plan to open the casket of Eddie Nash in Colebrook.
Nash pleaded guilty on Monday, to charges of criminal conduct, interference with a cemetery, conspiracy and abuse of a corpse. Two other defendants pleaded guilty and a third person was found not guilty of the charges.
Eddie Nash, who died of a heart attack at the age of 68, started an equipment business that is still run by his family members. He has since been reburied by his family members.

General Mohammadu Buhari, Friday, arrived Nigeria from the United
Kingdom after more than two weeks during which he gave a speech at the
famous Royal Institute of Internal Affairs, popularly known as Chatham
House.
Buhari left Nigeria for London on February 19 amid rumours that he sneaked out of the country to attend to his alleged failing health.
“I just went off for a couple of weeks to rest. That’s all I did,” Buhari told newsmen who asked about his trip.
Asked whether he visited any London hospital while in London, as claimed by Ekiti State Governor Ayodele Fayose who have been claiming that the APC candidate was not enjoying good health, Buhari queried;
“What is wrong for me to go the hospital? Am I not here now? Are you not seeing me? Are you seeing a sick man?”
He also added that he “went to Chatham House. I read an address and there was a question and answer session. That’s all.”
In the meantime, the South West chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has congratulated General Buhari on “his safe return to the country.”
“Buhari is welcome back in the country and we wish him good health,” Dare Omotosho, Zonal Publicity Secretary of the party said, while speaking with Saturday Tribune in Ado Ekiti.

FG Begins Reconstruction Of Chibok School
President Goodluck Jonathan has laid the foundation stone for the
reconstruction of Government Secondary School, Chibok, Borno State,
which was destroyed by Boko Haram.
A statement from the ministry of finance stated that the President who was represented by the Coordinating Minister for the Economy and Minister of Finance, Dr. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, said his administration was determined to root out insurgency in the North-East region to enable residents of the area return to normal life.
The president in the statement was quoted to have said, “We sympathize with the Chibok community. We know what you are going through. But I want to assure you that we are working day and night to make sure that life returns to normal both in your community and all others affected by terrorism.
“This administration promised to rebuild the Government Secondary School in Chibok which was destroyed by terrorists. Today, I am laying the foundation for the remodeling and reconstruction of this school.
“We want our students to go back to school. We want them to get the education they need to live a decent life.
We will support them and we will do everything we can to support their parents and the entire community.
