Headless Body Found At A Prayer Centre In Akure
A yet-to-be identified man has been beheaded at Amese community in
Akure, the Ondo State capital beside a mountain where some people pray
and worship. A source told Punch Metro on
Thursday that the worshippers, who went to pray at the mountain on
Wednesday, found the headless body of the man at the base of the
mountain. It was gathered that this prevented the worshippers from
holding their usual prayer session as they quickly went to the police
station to report the matter. The source said the police allegedly
detained those who went to report the matter before sending a team to
the area to remove the corpse. A resident, who spoke on condition of
anonymity, said:-
“After the matter had been reported at the Ijapo Police Station, the policemen combed the entire area, arresting residents indiscriminately. Those that went to report at the police station were also detained by the police. The police said the arrest of the people was part of their investigation.”
The residents also alleged that the policemen left the community where the incident happened and went to nearby communities to make arrest, disclosing that as a result of this, many residents of the area had fled their homes.
Another source explained that the deceased must have been killed somewhere else and dumped in the area.
When contacted the Police Public Relations Officer of the state command, Mr. Femi Joseph, confirmed the incident.
He, however, denied that the police arrested the residents indiscriminately, noting that investigation had started on the matter.
The PPRO said:
“The police did not arrest anybody. When we got information about the incident, we sent our men there to remove the body and also invited some of the residents to ask a few questions from them. We did not arrest or detain anybody.”

Nigerian sprinter and long jumper Blessing Okagbare over the weekend
beat the World’s fastest man Usain Bolt to win the Guinness World Book
of Records prize for most IAAF Diamond League appearances in 2015.
Guinness Book of records said,
The IAAF Diamond League is an annual series of track and field meetings held from 2010 till date, and Blessing Okagbare has participated in 38 events higher than any other athlete in the world.

When the chair, Committee for the Defence of
Human Rights, CDHR, Delta State, Mr. Benefit Orugbo, called me on phone,
about a fortnight ago, and said that he had a spine chilling case of
human rights abuse in his hands, I did not understand the brutality of
the matter and almost ignored the issue.
However, it was not until Warri Reporter, EGUFE
YAFUGORHI, detailed to meet the victim at an agreed venue reported his
encounter with Igbobi Beauty Uzezi, an Air Police of the Nigerian
Air-force, NAF, with Personal Service Number, NAF10/25157F, that the
reality dawned on me.
Uzezi, who hails from Bayelsa state, revealed
that an Air-force officer (names withheld) drugged, raped and infected
her with a Sexually Transmitted Diseases, STD, and the said officer
detained and tortured her through proxies for daring to expose him and
finally got her dismissed from the Airforce.
The air-force officers she complained to and
sought help before the hammer fell on her, queried why she chose to make
trouble with the officer, pointing out that she was not the only female
personnel to pass through the ordeal.
They detained her in a cell with a mad woman,
chained her to the bed in the hospital, locked for several days without
food to force her to forgo justice. She refused to surrender and was
court marshaled after she threatened to shoot one of the air-force
officers used to intimidate her, who allegedly wanted to disarm her.

With dry drowning, water never reaches the lungs. Instead, breathing in
water causes your child’s vocal chords to spasm and close up after he’s
already left the pool, ocean, or lake. That shuts off his airways,
making it hard to breathe. A condition called pulmonary edema is the

Here, we write about a case where a ten year old child, Johnny, had foam on his mouth and had difficulties breathing. After taking him to the ER immediately, the mother was told that what happened was ”Secondary Drowning“ . Though rare, secondary drowning can be fatal if warning symptoms are ignored. Anytime someone (children and adults alike) inhales even a small gush of water (pool, lake or ocean) it can irritate the lungs and cause swelling. Usually very little water is present in the lungs when secondary drowning occurs, but the small amount of liquid is enough to hinder the lungs ability to provide oxygen to the bloodstream.
If your child has had a near drowning, or perhaps swallowed too much water, keep a close eye out for the symptoms of secondary drowning and take them to the hospital immediately. Symptoms can even take between one and 72 hours to appear.
The symptoms are following:

Abominable: Married Woman Seduces Own Biological Son With N50,000 In A Hotel
AN Asaba Grade ‘A’ Customary Court in Delta State last Friday dissolved
an 18-year-old marriage over a sexual intercourse by a mother with her
son.
The 45-year-old Mrs. Nkulumenna Owefa admitted before the court that she seduced her son in a hotel in Abagana, Anambra State, after she offered him the sum of N50,000.
It was gathered during the proceedings of the court that the woman who sells trades at the popular Ogbeonogonogo market, Asaba deceptively asked his son (name withheld) to accompany her to Abagana near Onitsha, Anambra State where she booked into an hotel against her initial plan of meeting with one of her business partners at her residence in Asaba.
The son, who testified in court on what transpired between him and the mother before Senior Magistrate, Sylvester Oboh, said he was called upon by his mother to accompany her somewhere where she had bought some materials for sale.
He said, “On our way to Abagana, somewhere around Toll Gate in Asaba, we were held in hold-up; I was with mum in her car and the glasses were wound up as the AC was on. So our conversation was not being heard by hawkers going about with their wares or other motorists.
“My mum told me that she was going to take over me as my father has taken over my sister and I thanked her, not knowing what she was up to. In Abagana, after a lengthy discussion with her friend, we retired into the hotel room, where my mum gave me a bottle of coke already opened and I felt weak when she now undressed me before putting my man-hood into her private part.”
The husband, Mr. Owefa, who was in court with her daughter, Adlyn to seek the dissolution of their marriage told the court, “All I need is the dissolution of this marriage.
“My wife has committed the worst abomination and the only forgiveness I have for her is the dissolution of the marriage. My son remains my son because I know he was not seduced with ordinary hand.”
The Senior Magistrate (Oboh), having listened to both parties, granted the dissolution of the marriage, saying the man would take of the two children.

Rebecca died from severe malnutrition and pneumonia as her religious parents left a sick girl in the midwife’s care at the church. The duo believed that the woman’s ‘supernatural healing powers’ would save her. Three days later she died at hospital.
According to doctors, Rebecca has one of the worst cases of rickets they have ever seen and weighed the same as a three-month-old baby. They also didn’t find any trace of food or milk in her stomach.

It is highly unlikely that Rebecca would have died if she has been presented for medical care more than 24 hours before she collapsed. In prioritising their religion over their daughter’s welfare, in breach of their duty to care for her, the defendants are guilty of the most serious abuse of trust.”Members of the 20-string congregation were encouraged to speak to the church’s midwife about medical problems before visiting the hospital or doctors. If they visited a doctor without permission, members could be excluded from certain church activities.

Wife Of Captured B’Haram Leader Makes Shocking Revelations To Troops
Officers of the Nigerian army have revealed that the wife of a
Boko Haram kingpin who was arrested during a raid on the terrorists’
camp in Borno state is giving out valuable information to them.
Colonel Tukur Gusau, spokesman of the 7 Division of the Nigeria Army, made this disclosure via a statement issued recently, in which he said that the arrest was made during operations in Kukawa and Nganzai local government areas of Borno state.
Leadership reports that troops of the 115 Task Force Battalion under 7 Brigade Multinational Joint Task Force (MNJTF) during a patrol and raid on the Boko Haram terrorists’ hideout, arrested a woman presumed to be wife of the Boko Haram leader.

It is known that most Boko Haram ‘amirs’ are allowed to move around with their families.

Final Year Polytechnic Student Killed By Boyfriend For Rejecting His Marriage Proposal
A man killed his girlfriend, a final year student of Federal
Polytechnic, Nekede, Owerri West Local Government Area of Imo state, for
rejecting his marriage proposal, reports have said.
The deceased identified as Miss Onyinyechi Okegbulam, 22, of Egbu in Owerri North Local Government Area of Imo State was reportedly shot in the head at close range by her supposed boyfriend in the village.
According to a source who spoke to Vanguard, the deceased was, last Saturday, lured out of her family home by the boyfriend at about 7p.m.
“Some people, who were close to the scene of the crime that night, reported that as soon as the boy saw the girl approaching him, he fired at her,” the source said.
Another dimension of the story, reported by Vanguard, says that the boyfriend was responsible for the girl’s educational expenses but she later dumped him.
“We heard that the boy picked the bills for the girl’s education, but that the girl later abandoned the boy and opted to marry another man,” Vanguard quoted a resident of the area to have said.
“We have even heard that the marriage has been fixed before the boyfriend struck.”
While the Police Public Relations Officer, Mr. Andrew Enwerem could not be reached, Vanguard stated that a reliable source in the state police headquarters, Owerri, confirmed the incident and said that the police was investigating.
“Police have started investigating the incident and the late girl’s parents are cooperating with us. Police will get to the root of the case.”

A 23-year-old woman, who stripped unclad and poured ketchup all over her body at a Miami Beach restaurant, has been arrested.

The video that was posted to World Star Hip Hop shows a young woman simulating a s*x act with a chair’s leg, then climbing onto a table and spreading her legs. She is seen smiling and dancing unclad, while a mob of excited men are pouring ketchup and water on her unclad body.
At least one man was seen touching her exposed private parts. According to police reports, she also turned over tables and chairs, damaging a property worth $420. At the moment police officers arrived Ms Valle fled the scene but was arrested days after the incident.

A doctor at Federal Teaching Hospital, Abakaliki, Jane-Glad Ugba
has been arrested for allegedly pouring boiling cooking water on a
16-year-old boy.
The boy, Nwanga Chidiebere, is a JSS 3 student of Presco secondary school, Abakaliki, who lives with the doctor.
It was reported that the eldest son of the doctor had left the house door wide open but Chidiebere was wrongly accused of the offence. While he was being punished, the doctor accused him additionally of burning the yam he was asked to cook.
To punish him, Ugba was said to have emptied the cooked yam and hot water on Chidiebere’s back, chasing him out of the house. He slept in a church overnight and in the morning, while roaming the streets, a female member of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) found him and took him to the hospital.
It was when Ugba resumed work that she saw the boy on admission at the Plastic Surgery Department of the hospital. The state police spokesman, ASP George Onuorah, confirmed the incident and disclosed that Ugba had been arrested and arraigned in court.
Meanwhile, a young man who pretended to be a woman and worked as a housemaid for eight months has been arrested recently. He managed to gull his employees for more than half a year, pretending to be a woman.

New reports emerging say that Timaya was actually lying about the accident, and he was never in the car to begin with.
According to Olisa TV, a source claims Timaya’s brother was the person driving the Bentley.

Mother Kills Her 3 Kids For Fear That Her Boyfriend Might Leave Her
ANNA Duskiova, 25, killed her three newborn babies because she was worried her boyfriend might leave her. The woman, from a village in the Czech Republic, is on trial accused of
murdering her youngsters, two boys and a girl, shortly after they were
born. The court heard that the children were born healthy but Duskiova
killed them and hid their bodies in the house she shared with her
boyfriend, Daniel Masaryk, 47.
Dusikova confessed to the murders and claimed she was concerned her boyfriend, who didn’t want children, would leave her if he found out. She said at the court: “I was afraid of losing my boyfriend. I told him I had some health troubles and that I could not have children.” The woman disguised her growing belly by telling Masaryk that water bloating was a side effect of her health complication. As a result, Masaryk allegedly never noticed or suspected that she was pregnant.
Dusikova’s first baby was born in 2013 and after giving birth to the little girl in a toilet, she strangled her to death with a shoelace. She then put the dead baby in a rucksack and hid her in the attic of the house where she lived with Masaryk. Unbelievably, a year later, she gave birth to her second baby, a little boy, and shockingly murdered him in the same way. Dusikova had her third baby, another boy, in 2015 but instead of killing him straight away; she hid him inside a bag of dog food.
She told the court that after the third birth she fainted because she had lost so much blood and when she woke, her son was dead. After hiding the third baby in the attic with the other bodies, Dusikova needed medical help for her blood loss. When she reached the hospital, doctors recognised she had given birth and raised the alarm when she couldn’t explain where her baby was. Dusikova said: I cannot explain why I did this.”

Police Did Not Rescue Me, My Family Paid Ransom For My Release – Olu Falae
Former Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Chief Olu Falae,
on Monday denied the claim by the Nigeria Police that its men rescued
him (Falae) from the hand of kidnappers on Thursday.
The Inspector-General of Police, Solomon Arase, had earlier claimed that no ransom was paid before Falae’s freedom.
However, although the elder statesman, who was kidnapped by some suspected Fulani herdsmen on Monday, September 21 and released on Thursday September 24, 2015, did not disclose the amount paid, he added that it was when the money was completed that he was freed.
He stated this when a former Chief of Defence Staff, Lt.-Gen. Alani Akinrinade (retd.), paid him a visit at his Oba Ile, Akure, residence on Monday.
Falae, a former Minister of Finance, said, “There were six of them with three or four guns and every half an hour or so they will say, ‘Baba we are going to kill you, if you don’t give us money, we are going to kill you.
“On Wednesday, one of them came and said, ‘Look, we are going to leave here on Thursday morning. Since we cannot leave you here alone, if we don’t get what we want, we are going to kill you’.
“And they said they gave me until 3pm and if at 3pm, they didn’t get the money, they would execute me. I thank God that at 21 minutes before 3pm, one of them came and said, ‘The money don complete’.”

A Nigerian woman, Akudihor Jeniffer, who went on holiday in the United States of America, has been arrested for shoplifting.
Akudihor, who was in the US with her three children, was arrested after a CCTV footage showed her stealing 66 different items in a shop. The footage showed her stealing clothes and accessories which she stuffed under the stroller and was pushing through the entrance of the shop.
Akudihor has been charged with felony theft, her passport seized and $2,500 has been set for her bail. The spokesperson for the Overland Park Police Department, Sgt Gary Mason said: “The officer in the report said that she was very apologetic and remorseful, and that does go a long way, and he put that in the report, so I think it does help in this situation. Everybody has a story. There’s always a lot of reasons why people do this, and it’s not for us to decide. It’s up to the courts and the judge to look at her case.”
Mason further noted that the reason behind the theft was however unknown as they could not tell if she stole the items because she had no money or not. “This certainly isn’t the way to go about it. Now she’s going to have some legal problems that she’s going to have to deal with,” Mason stated.

Former Super Eagles defence strongman, Taribo West made a shocking
confession recently. He revealed that during his football career days he
used juju to play on the field.
The ex-footballer turned pastor said he had a manager from Senegal and his manager would take him to several native doctors in Senegal where they will cut his tongue, hands and legs and then cook it.
“I spend most of my time at home meditating. All I want to do is to keep spreading the gospel. In my own little way, I have been into evangelisation visiting places like Ughelli and within the Orile community, Ajegunle and so on. God has been kind during these visits to preach the gospel to people who are yet to receive
Christ. We believe He will take us global very soon,” Taribo said.

D’banj stripped Of Valuables By Area Boys, Forces Him To The ATM
According to the singer, he showed up for a video shoot in a Toyota RAV 4 with registration number KJA6158BE.
Eyewitness revealed that as soon as the area boys
laid their eyes on him, they demanded he settle them with cash but
before he could speak a word, they bursted his tyres!
With over 50 area boys crowding him, D’banj was forced to an ATM where he withdrew an undisclosed sum to settle them.
However, the area boys refused to disperse and stripped him of his wristwatch and other jewellery including his shoes.
They only left him alone after policemen came to his rescue.
“I’m so excited, D’banj came to Tin Can Island to
shoot a video and guys saw him. They burst his tires and held him
hostage. He had to embrace every one of them and later he took them to

Three Sisters Give Birth On The Same Day At The Same Hospital
In an unlikely coincidence, three Irish sisters gave birth on the same
day at the same hospital. And what’s more remarkable is that their
fourth sister was expected to give birth sometime soon after her 3
sisters! Mairead Fitzpatrick and her sisters Joeline Godfrey and Bernie
Ward all gave birth at Mayo General Hospital in Castlebar on Tuesday.

Davido Travels To Osun To Inspect His Dad’s University, Calls Him A Great Man
The award winning singer paid a visit to the uncompleted university his father is building in Ede, Osun state.
The name of the university is Adeleke University and it is still under construction.
Davido and his brother Adewale Adeleke(who is the

progress going on in the site.
