Meet Nollywood Fast Rising Actress Edith Orode

Art is a passion of mine. My desire is to use my talent & professionalism to capture the precious moments of life and how it affect everyone.



Edith is an upcoming Nollywood actress, who played a minor role in “SLOW COUNTRY’’. She has featured in various movies and currently shooting a sitcom.


 Early life and Background

Edith is Nigerian born and hails from Warri in Delta State. She speaks English and Urhobo fluently. She attended Faith Foundation Primary school where she finished in 2000, St Vincent College Warri, delta state where she concluded in 2007. She also had her formal education in Cotonou, Benin Republic. The francophone speaking side of the West African region. She graduated from Houdegbe North America University in Benin republic where she studied Sociology. She was brought up majorly by her rod-sparing mother who pampers her with the good things of life this is because she is the only female child among five brothers. She did not encounter any incidence of child rivalry. She was called “the golden child” by her mother. She is from a middle class family. Her father is a retired social worker while her mother is a business woman.

                                         Career and Life

She started acting from the children’s church when she was 7. The experience from church was fun which motivated her to pursue the career even more. Even though she majored in sociology in school. She has always been more of creative person. Her years in secondary school was not extraordinary. Her life experiences also fostered her passion for acting. Also while in the university she was more of a conservative person. She was more of a “tomboy” while in school she had more of male friends.
