Governor Jonah Jang of Plateau State and factional chairman of the Nigeria Governors’ Forum, Monday denied an allegation of impersonation leveled against him by Governor Rotimi Amaechi, saying he never claimed to be the Governor of Rivers State; hence the accusation does not hold water.
Jang, who was reacting to a press release by Amaechi in which the Rivers State governor accused him of impersonation for calling a meeting of the NGF, said, “Am I claiming to be the Governor of Rivers State? How am I then impersonating him?”
Jang, who presided over the meeting of his faction of the NGF in Abuja, later led the governors of Abia, Akwa Ibom, Bayelsa, Cross River, Ebonyi, Enugu, Delta, Kaduna, Katsina, Kogi, Taraba, Bauchi, Ondo and Imo states into a meeting with President Goodluck Jonathan at the Presidential Villa.
