Could It Be true - Reekado Banks On The Run As Manager Is Remanded At Kirikiri Prisons For Performance Fraud

Mavin Records artiste Reekado Banks is currently on the run for an alleged performance scam that has seen his brother who doubles as his manager Temi locked up at Kirikiri Prisons.

The artiste (real name Ayoleyi Hanniel Solomon) was said to have been paid the sum of N2 million naira to perform at a Benin wedding in December of 2017, an appointment he did not honour after collecting his fees in full.

Both he and Temi were invited to Area G police station last week but only his manager showed up. Uwa Idahosa, a Lagos based radio personality who brokered the deal had claimed that Reekado has refused to honour the several police invitations sent to him, leading the police to arraign his brother/manager in court today.

The police has described the singer to be ‘at large’, and Temi remanded in prison until the next court date on February 19th 2017

The prophet became famous after sharing sharing photos of himself kissing his wife and house girl.

Nabii Tito kissing the two women went viral on social media and irked quite a number of Tanzanians and East Africans who called him out for his queer behaviors.

According to reports, the self-proclaimed prophet has also been preaching while drinking alcohol.



Confirming the arrest,IGP Simon Sirro said Tito had been arrested following public complaints and will be dealt with accordingly.

Tito’s arrest was lauded by a cross section of Tanzanians who congratulated the police for cracking the whip on rogue,rather fake men of God.

First Lady Aisha Buhari doesn’t speak out so often. However, when she does, she sets the whole place on fire.

 

Like today. In a subtle rant delivered for maximum impact on Friday, January 19, 2018, Mrs. Buhari reposted video links wherein the speakers were taking President Muhammadu Buhari and the administration he heads, to the cleaners.

In one of the videos shared by Aisha on her Instagram and Twitter pages, Senator Isah Misau can be heard calling the president a lame duck.

“It’s as if he’s not in charge. It’s as if some people are the ones in charge of this country. Even the DG NIA that we are talking about, they said some people in the cabal, they are the ones that appointed that person to be there”, Misau said.

President Muhammadu Buhari Thursday said that contrary to widespread allegations of ethnic and religious bias against him and his government, he was one Nigerian who was detribalized and religiously accommodating.

The president pointed to his ministerial appointments as proof of his non-bias, while also citing his experience in politics including close interaction and association with persons of different tribe and religion as the source of his open-mindedness.

Buhari said this during a dinner he hosted in honour of chieftains of the All Progressives Congress (APC) at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.

He explained that the number of substantive ministers he appointed from the South East where he got only 198,000 votes was enough proof that he was not favouring the North as being alleged in some quarters.

“There is something that hit me very hard and I am happy I hit it back at somebody.

“Seven states of the North are only represented in my cabinet by junior ministers, ministers of state.

“In South East, I got 198,000 votes but I have four substantive ministers and seven junior ministers from there.

“You are closer to the people than myself now that I have been locked up here, don’t allow anybody to talk of ethnicity. It is not true,” he said.

The Vice-President,  Yemi Osinbajo, yesterday, denied receiving any letter from Benue State governor, Samuel Ortom, warning him of attacks planned by herdsmen.

Vice President, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo, and Benue State governor, Samuel Ortom His statement came on a day President Muhammadu Buhari and the Benue governor disagreed on the need for cattle colony to be created for herdsmen in states of the federation. While the President asked the governor and other leaders in the state to accommodate herdsmen in the state, Governor Ortom said Benue State had no land to give for cattle colony.

In a statement by his spokesman, Mr. Laolu Akande, Osinbajo expressed shock over the governor’s claims, which he described as a “terrible falsehood.” Ortom had said he alerted President Muhammadu Buhari, Osinbajo, the Inspector-General of Police, Ibrahim Idris, of the planned attacks by herdsmen but that they allegedly ignored it.

Reacting to the allegation, Osinbajo said neither him nor the other parties the governor claimed to have alerted got any letters on the situation. What Ortom told me — Osinbajo Akande explained that Ortom wrote the vice president a letter dated June 7, 2017, protesting the opposition and resistance of Miyetti Allah to the anti-grazing law, adding that he had also received a letter from the leadership of Miyetti Allah on their reservations about the law.

He said: “It will be a terrible falsehood to suggest that the VP was ever informed by the governor or anyone else of the imminence of the killing of citizens of our country in those or any other local governments in Benue State.

“Governor Ortom wrote to the Vice President, then Acting President, on June 7, 2017, protesting a newspaper publication where the leadership of Miyetti Allah was reported to have stated that it was opposed to the Open Grazing Prohibition law of the state and that they would mobilize to resist the law.

Nigeria-British Model With Multiple Contracts Stabbed To Death

A Nigerian-British male fashion model, , has been stabbed to death near his home in what is believed to be a robbery which went wrong Friday. Uzoka, who was on the books of Premier Model Management, died from a single stab wound.

   

His neighbours on Old Oak Road, East Acton, reported a shout of ‘hand it over’ in the melee which involved several men.

 

Twenty-five-year-old Uzoka staggered into the street from a housing estate before collapsing, reports say.

 

The area around Ollgar House in Ollgar Close was sealed off by police.

 

Detective Inspector Beverley Kofi said: “This is another tragic murder with a young male victim who has met a violent death.

 

“We believe that the incident started at Ollgar House, in Ollgar Close and the victim was assaulted and stabbed before staggering and collapsing in Old Oak Road.

 

“We believe there were a number of people involved, but we are still working to establish the circumstances and a possible motive.

 

“We have made two arrests and continue to pursue a number of lines of inquiry. We need the public’s help to piece together what happened — who the victim was seen with, the incident itself and the immediate aftermath.

 

The promising 6ft model’s face had appeared on billboards in the UK and USA. He had also worked for Zara and Mercedes.

Meet The 12 Year Old Nigerian Who Created An App To Help Lost Children

Tomisin Jasmin Ogunnubi, a 12 year old student of Vivian Fowler Memorial College Oregun, Lagos; has just developed a fully functional android application in Nigeria.



It has not been the most positive of times in Nigeria considering the current economic climate but every now and then a story will pop up and lift the spirits of the country. Tomisin Ogunnubi from Lagos has provided such a story for her nation in Answers Africa.

The 12-year-old girl from Lagos has developed an app to solve a problem which she had noticed in her community. Tomisin finished up the development of her Android mobile tracking app, My Location, just a few weeks ago.

The motivation behind the app was to help lost children find their way back home.



How it was developed:

Tomision developed her app under the guidence of an Information and Communications Technology partnership, between her school, Vivian Fowler Memorial College for Girls, and New Horizons Computer Learning Center. Here, Tomision was able to learn the necessary skills and knowledge needed to develop her app.

How it works:

The “current location”setting on the app enables the child to see exactly where they are, as well as highlighting the neighboring streets around them. The other main functionality of the app will allow the child to save a location such as their house or school and it will direct them to their desired location.

The My Locator App also features a button, which when pressed will alert the Lagos State Emergency Services. The app will call the services as well as show the child’s location so that they can be helped.

The app is available for free download in Lagos, Nigeria.

“I Won’t Break His Marriage, All I Want Is Sex – Roman Catholic Sister

A 38-year-old Roman Catholic sister confessed to be in an adulterous affair with a married man stating that all she wants from him is sex.

Emmaculate Samukange, who also works as a nurse at Chivhu General Hospital, said she has no intentions of breaking Phillip Dzingai’s marriage but only wanted s.ex from him.

“I am aware that Phillip is married and it is true that I am having an affair with him.

“I am a Roman Catholic sister so what I do does not allow me to be his second wife.

“I am in a relationship with him because I failed to resist s.exual temptation; I don’t wish to break his marriage, all I want from him is s.ex,” said Emmaculate.

She added that Phillip is the only man she has ever loved in her life.

“I started dating him in 2013 and since then I have tried to let him go but I have failed to do so.

“We met at Chivhu General Hospital where I also work as a nurse and from that moment we clicked.

“I have never met his wife but she now knows what is going on between Phillip and I because we have been dating for a long time now,” she said.

When asked for comment Phillip denied having an affair with Emmaculate.

“There is nothing like that going on,” he said before hanging up the phone.  

Meanwhile an H-Metro source, who is a close relative to Phillip, said they had tried to warn Phillip from cheating on his wife but it was to no avail.

“As a family we have had numerous meetings with Phillip but we have not been able to convince him to be faithful to his wife.

“It seems as if they are inseparable; each time you mention anything to do with Emmaculate he changes his temper and starts to be violent,” said the source.

Kachikwu who is the minister of state for petroleum resources is set to be made substantive minister as according to New Telegraph, President Buhari told Kachikwu to “go ahead with some critical decisions, including, but not limited to overseeing the forthcoming oil bloc allocations if necessary.” 

A source at the presidency said Kachikwu is likely going to be announced as substantive minister by President Buhari when he returns from London and this would be determined by his performance during his absence.

Worst Case of Child Abuse? Boy Dies After Being Brutalized by His Father and Stepmother in Bayelsa

A very little boy has died in one of the most bizarre ways after he allegedly was brutalized by his father and stepmother in Bayelsa State.  

 

 

 

According to a Facebook user, Wariebi Sapere-obi, who shared the heartbreaking photos on social media, a young boy has passed away as a result of some high degree of injuries inflicted on him by his father and step-mother in Bayelsa state

 

"Worse case of Child Abuse I have ever seen. This child was brought into CHEW (children emergency) FMC yenagoa dead. what a father and his wife (victims step mum) could do to a child," the poster captioned the terrible photos.

 

When quizzed further for more details of the incident, he said; "For all those in need of details concerning my initial post, you will get answers before tomorrow. I am at work now and I was on call last night so please be patient. Thanks a lot for your concerns."
