Born Again Actor, Hanks Anuku Confesses To Deliberately Infecting His Wife With HIV

There were rumors ages ago that he had the HIV, but we all thought it was just rumors.



The very popular Nollywood actor, Hanks Anuku, who is known for playing criminal roles in Nigerian movies, has revealed he tested positive for HIV.

The Nollywood actor also revealed how he deliberately infected his wife with the deadly disease.

Hanks Anuku who’s now a born-again Christian and based in Ghana, talked in an interview about how he went to Zambia for six months in April 2011 without his wife and two kids, to take part in plays teaching about HIV and AIDS.

While there he enjoyed life, sleeping with about 80 women.

“Life in Zambia was heaven on earth because we could enjoy life, moving in all places but I was missing my family. During that time I had quite a number of sexual activities and I slept with different women. When I came back home I never took care of the family. I started drinking like a fish and became an irresponsible husband leaving the entire burden to my wife,”  he said.

The veteran actor also revealed that while knowing he could well be HIV positive, he infected his wife .

“I got tested while I was in Zambia after one of my girlfriends advised me about her pregnancy. She had gone for pregnancy tests and during that time she was tested for HIV and the results was shocking, she was positive. She forced me to get tested but I could not come to terms with the results. After I got tested I came back to Zimbabwe and I kept quiet about the issue. I never told my wife about the issue. I infected her but I regret. I later on received some counseling and it went well,” he explained

“During my peak of popularity I had sex with approximately 80 women, within Harare and Zambia. 
In 2002 it was so amazing to be on TV. I abused the fame. To make matters worse I lacked counseling and I failed to handle it properly, leaving me in this mud. I am now a born again Christian with UFIC under the guidance of Prophet Emmanuel Makandiwa.” he said.

Nigeria Immigration Arrests 40 Illegal Immigrants In Calabar

The Nigeria Immigration Service in Cross River, said on Thursday that it had arrested 40 illegal immigrants who entered the country without valid travelling documents.



Funke Adeuyi, Comptroller of Immigration in the state, made this known while parading the illegal immigrants before news men at the immigration office in Calabar.

Ms. Adeuyi said that the arrest was part of the activities of the NIS to expel illegal immigrants from Nigeria.

These illegal immigrants were arrested on Monday Feb. 9 by the intelligence group of the NIS at different locations in the state.

“We have thoroughly screened and profiled them. We have also identified those ones that are not here with their valid travelling documents. At the end of the day, we have been able to identify 40 of them and they will be leaving the country as soon as possible.

“Out of the 40 of them, 12 are from Mali, 10 from Burkina Faso, six from Niger Republic, five from Guinea, three from Senegal and four from Cameroon”, she said.

The comptroller said those arrested were jobless and roaming the streets of Calabar.

Proud mother Hannah says, “When Mark and I first got together, he told me how everyone in his family, for five generations, had produced boys. He warned me that the chances of us ever having a daughter were pretty remote.”



Nevertheless, after consulting with several doctors about their possibility to have a daughter the woman did not give up and settled on an American method from the 60s. It works on the logic that the female chromosome are slower but survive longer than the male.

So having sex earlier in your cycle when only the X chromosomes survive should up chances of a girl. And, surprisingly, the method worked perfectly. And when Hannah and Mark were told they were expecting a girl they could not believe it’s true.

“I was in a state of disbelief, I kept asking the sonographer if she was sure. Mark was so emotional he was in tears, crying that it was a gift from his Dad — who, sadly, passed away just before I fell pregnant. He’d told us he’d love a granddaughter,” says Hannah.

Happy parents already had a son as well as two boys from Mark’s previous marriage before they welcomed Myla to their family. With three big brothers to look after her, she is never going to be short of protectors and attention.
 

Massive Rare 'Toothless' Monster Washes Up On Beach In Philippines

The body of the seldom-seen 15-foot adult male megamouth shark was found by fishermen in Barangay Marigondon in the Philippines.



The gargantuan beast has been dubbed 'toothless' by locals despite the fact it has 50 rows of gnashers.

There have previously been only 64 recorded sightings of this type of shark.

The humongous fish's cause of death has yet to be determined but country's Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources will carry out an investigation to determine what killed it.

It is understood the critter's remains will go on display at Albay Parks and Wildlife Centre in the Philippines.

The megamouth shark trawls the seabed for morsels of food, scooping them with their massive mouths and capturing them in their jaws.

They can reach a maximum length of 7 feet (5.2 metres) and can live to the age of 100.

Southampton University shark scholar Christopher Bird told the Washington Post: "It wasn't discovered really until 1976. "It's only really seen when it's accidentally caught in fishermen's nets or when it is stranded on beaches.

 "It's just a mystery."

 I was supposed to be on a few days leave. My boss called me and asked me to come in for a meeting. I went to the office early to get other things done. I started hearing music outside so I thought an activation was going on.

I saw 5 dancers dancing.

I didn't understand. But it had been a weird day cos I’ve been getting calls from friends I have not heard from in years. Everyone being super nice.

Then 4 of the dancers opened their shirts and underneath had white shirts with the inscriptions OLUCHI, WILL, YOU, MARRY and the boo came out with a shirt saying ME.

Kenyan 90-Year-Old Great Grandmother Enrols In Primary School - Oga Buhari You Too Can Still Enrol For WASC

A woman who has served her rural Kenyan village as a midwife for the past 65 years has returned to primary school along with six of her great-great-grandchildren. Priscilla Sitienei, 90, is believed to be the oldest primary school pupil in the world. 

  

She enrolled at Leaders Vision Preparatory School in the Rift Valley village of Ndalat five years ago, with the intention of finally learning to read and write. 

Affectionately known as "Gogo", which means grandmother in the local Kalenjin language, Mrs Sitienei grew up under British colonial masters and never had the chance to go to school. She said she wants to be able to read the Bible, pass on her midwifery skills and write down the herbal remedies she uses in births. 

 She also hopes to inspire those younger than her – including her own classmates, aged between 10 and 14, some of whom she delivered as babies. 

 "Too many older children are not in school. They even have children themselves," she told the BBC. "They tell me they are too old. I tell them, 'Well I am at school and so should you'.

" Mrs Sitienei follows in the footsteps of the late Kimani Maruge, 84, who became the subject of a British-produced film called The First Grader, when he enrolled in a primary school in Eldoret, Kenya, after the government announced the roll-out of free and universal primary education in 2003. 

What's Happening - Ex-MBGN Queen Dies At 24

A former Most Beautiful Girl in Nigeria, MBGN, queen has died. The pretty lady, Esther Kanu, represented Abia State at the 2013 edition of MBGN.

She kicked the bucket on Wednesday, January 7, 2014, at the age of 24.

It was learnt that last Esther suddenly slumped and was rushed to the hospital, where she was confirmed dead by a doctor.

There are uncertainties over the cause of her demise, but there are reports in some quarters that she may have died a of heart related disease.

Already, the police have reportedly commenced investigation into her death.

Saudi Arabia’s King Abdullah Dies At 90

Saudi Arabia’s King Abdullah ibn Abdilazīz, the powerful U.S. ally who joined Washington’s fight against al-Qaida and sought to modernise the ultraconservative Muslim kingdom with incremental but significant reforms, including nudging open greater opportunities for women, has died, he was 90.

Throngs of mourners gathered in Mecca early Friday just hours after Saudi Arabia’s King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz al Saud died. Abdullah bin Abdulaziz was the fifth of his brothers to take the throne and became king in 2005, reports Caroline Hawley.

His death was  announced on Saudi state TV by a presenter who said the king died at 1 a.m. on Friday. 

Abdullah came to the throne in 2005 but had suffered frequent bouts of ill health in recent years.

Services will be held Friday afternoon at the Imam Turki Bin Abdullah Grand Mosque in Riyadh, and many world leaders are likely to pay their respects.

What A Pity - Fire Burns Six-Year-Old Child To Death In Enugu

The Police in Enugu on Wednesday confirmed the death of a six-year-old child, Sochimaobi Nwatu, in a fire incident which occurred on January 17, at Awkunanaw, Enugu.



This is contained in a statement signed by the Police Public Relations Officer in the state, Ebere Amaraizu.

It said the incident which occurred at No. 9, Umueze St. Awkunanaw, gutted two flats in a two- storey building.

“It was discovered that the child was burnt to death during the incident.

“The police are yet to identify the cause of the incident because investigation is ongoing,’’ the statement said.

Presidential Candidtate of the All Progressives Congress(APC), General Muhammadu Buhari this morning cleared the air on the West Africa School Certificate (WASC) controversy, describing it as the handiwork of mischief makers. 

Speaking at the Kano State Government House, Buhari said he graduated at Provisional Secondary School,Katsina in 1961 with many prominent Nigerians including late Shehu Musa Yar'Adu and Justice Umar Abdullahi, a former president of Court of Appeal.

He said they sat for the WASC with the two prominent personalities. He gave his examination number as 820002 and that he passed the examination with the second division.

" I assumed all along that all my records were in the custody of the military secretary of the Nigerian Army but to my surprise we were all told that although a record of the result is available, there are no copies of the certificate in my personal file. This is why I have formally requested my old school, the Provincial  secondary school, katsina which is now known as Government college, katsina to make available the school's copy of the result of the Cambridge West Africa School certificate," he said.

Flanked by his running mate Professor Yomi Osinbajo, Governor Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso and the National Chairman of the party, Chief John Odigie Oyegun, he said the certificate will be made available to press.

He urged journalists to investigate the veracity of his claim at the Government College, Katsina.

WOMAN COMMITS SUICIDE AFTER 5YRS OLD SON CAUGHT HER HAVING SEX IN MATRIMONIAL BED WITH CO-WORKER

A woman from Ozoro, Isoko North Local Government Area, Delta State, reportedly took her own life after her 5-year-old son caught her having sex with one of her co-worker in her matrimonial home at Abuja.



According to the husband of the deceased, his wife was a very cute lady and that attracted men to her.

The woman used to show him some men that wanted to be her friends because of her beauty.

Their son also reported so many cases of the woman going home with different men to him but he never bothered to ask her about their son’s report because the lady was very decent before they got married, that made him to trust her so much.

The husband said he was amazed when he came home yesterday and his son told him that he saw his mother and uncle( the woman’s co-worker) on the bed half naked.

He thought the boy was not serious but he got to believe when he saw how his wife was behaving.

She refused to talk to him, she even insisted on sleeping in visitor’s room instead of their normal room.

He said he was about to go to work in the morning today, he called the woman to tell her he was ready to go to work, there was no response, he called her line, the phone was ringing but she was not picking.

When he went to the window to tell her, he saw her hanging, she was already dead.

Her remains will be taken to Ozoro tomorrow.

Nollywood actor Muna Obiekwe on Sunday, 18 January 2015, passed away after battling with a kidney disease. According to reports, the late actor kept his ailment a secret and couldn't get enough money for his treatment.




Following Muna's death, some of his fans took to social media platforms to attack the Actors Guild of Nigeria's (AGN) president, Ibinabo Fiberesima, after she paid a touching tribute to the late Muna Obiekwe on Facebook.

 Ibinabo replied fans that accused the Guild Association of abandoning her members.

She said, “We never ignore our members. If we are informed of a situation we take action. Pls like I said lets Pray not Curse. We have gone out of our way to help non-Guild members talk more of our own.

We never neglet anyone. We have an active insurance plan. We have begged our members and still begging them to revalidate their membership and join the health plan.
