The spokesperson for the All Progressives Congress (APC) campaign organization, Garba Shehu confirmed that Buhari had indeed been working from the Defence House.

“Yes, the Defence House was handed over a few days ago after its renovation,” Shehu said.

The Defence House is one of the President’s guest houses and it is located opposite the Legacy House, which is currently serving as the campaign headquarters of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

France Moves To Ban Ultra-Skinny Models

The French parliament, Friday, adopted an amendment to a sweeping health law that would prohibit fashion models from having an abnormally low body mass index (BMI).



The amendment, which leaves the determination of a healthy BMI to health authorities, imposes a fine of up to 75,000 euros, approximately 81,840 dollars and prison sentences of up to six months for employers of ultra-thin models.

“Images of bodies that valorise excessive thinness or emaciation and that stigmatise curves undoubtedly contribute to unwellness, especially among young girls,” said the text of the amendment proposed by Socialist lawmaker Olivier Veran.

Some 30,000 to 40,000 people in France suffer from anorexia nervosa, a behavioural disorder characterised by an obsessive desire to lose weight.

The condition afflicts some 0.5 per cent of French girls.

In 2010, French model Isabelle Caro died at the age of 28 after posing in a photo campaign to raise awareness around anorexia.

The campaign, which ran in 2007, showed photographs of Caro weighing 27.2 kilograms.

16-Yr-Old Indian Girl Tells Of Years Of Family Rape By Father, Brother, Uncle

An Indian teenager has reported to the police how her father, uncle and brother has been raping her for years, impregnating her twice in the process and forcing her to get abortions.

A 16-year-old Indian girl who was used as a sex slave by her own family where her father, brother and uncle repeatedly raped her, has opened up for the first time, leading to the arrest of the men.

The girl summoned courage to tell her school teacher in Dhupguri town in West Bengal state,  how the men in her family had constantly raped her for two years, impregnating her twice and forcing her to have abortions.

The shocked teacher took the girl to the girl to the police where she registered a complaint against the three men and they were arrested.

Police spokesman, K.L. Sherpa, said:

"Her father, a farmer aged around 50, allegedly raped her several times. She alleged that her uncle also raped her and of late, her brother had also started."

Woman Jailed For 266 Years For Stealing N8million: God This Is Wickedness 266yr

A female staff of popular eatery, Sweet Sensation, Oluremi Olayinka was on Wednesday convicted and sentenced to 266 years imprisonment by Justice A.A Akinyemi of Ogun State High Court, Abeokuta, for stealing N8million belonging to her employer.



The offence is contrary to sections 390(6)(7)(8), 467 and 468 respectively of the Criminal Code Law Cap 29, Laws of Ogun State.

The court found the convict guilty on all the 34-count charges. She was sentenced to seven years on each of 30 counts and 14 years on the remaining four charges. The sentences are to run concurrently.

Additionally, Justice Akinyemi ordered her to return the money she stole in restitution to her victim.

Ms. Olayinka was arraigned before Justice Akinyemi on May 13, 2014 following a petition, alleging that she stole the sum of N8,000,000 (Eight Million Naira), which she received on behalf of her employer.

When the convict was confronted with the allegation, she admitted the crime only for her to dramatically pleaded not guilty upon arraignment.

In the course of trial, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission presented four witnesses and tendered 16 exhibits to prove its case against the convict.

Fake Army Officer Arrested For Rape

A man who has been parading himself as an army officer has been arrested after he committed serious crimes including rape.

A man who has been parading himself a senior army officer in the Amaja community in Igbo-Eze North local government area, Enugu State, causing havoc and terrorising the people as well as raping young girls in the area, has been arrested by the state police command.

Identified as Felix James, the fake army officer was said to be playing on the ignorance of the people and their fear of the military to intimidate them and walking about freely as a genuine army officer until he was nabbed by detectives from the Nsukka Command who had been trailing him for a long time.

The fake officer, in his confession to the police after his arrest, said he had tried several times to be enlisted in the Nigerian army without success, adding that he procured the uniform and camouflages through the help of one of his friends.

Hear him:

"My friend Reggan Igbonekwu whose father was a retired soldier gave me the army uniform to wear to convince my parents that I had successfully joined the Nigerian Army.

I came back in November 2014 with the army uniform and since then till now, I have never worn the uniform again.

I paid Reggan a total sum of N80, 000 for the army uniforms he supplied to me."

The suspect added that he was a cosmetics seller at Kogi State before he decided to join the army and failed, explaining that he left secondary school in 2012 and took the army recruitment exams for two consecutive times without success.

"Everybody in the community knew that I went for the army recruitment but they don’t know that I was not successful. I am a married man with one issue and my wife even thinks I am an army officer."

The water reserve had been provided by a good Samaritan, but she decided to create a monopoly on he water because she had been living there before the new neighbors came.

Neighbours had repeatedly tried to make her see reason but she always locked the tap. They even went as far as reporting her to the police but no action had been taken.

This weekend, they had tried to fetch water. She tried to prevent them again and got into a fight with an Igbo married lady .The woman neighbour pushed her out of the way, she fell, stood up, then fainted.
 

According to the neighbour who narrated the incident and took photos, because of her wickedness,no one tried to revive her, they left her there and continued to fetch their water.

Woman Kills Man She Met Online For Injuring Her Cervix During Sex

Police are investigating the shooting to death of 25 year old Marteese Williams, (right) who was shot dead by 34 year old Jessica Lewis, (handcuffed), a woman he met on Craigslist who accused him of damaging her cervix during sex.



Florida police say the two connected on Craiglist and agreed to meet for casual sex but something went horribly wrong. According to reports, Jessica told police that after the sex, she felt extreme pain in her cervical area and went to the hospital where she was told that her cervix had been damaged.

Police say that Jessica contacted Marteese to tell him that his large pennis had damaged her cervix and may have prevented her from having children. She then asked him to pay her hospital bill. When Marteese refused, Jessica drove to his home with a gun…

Investigators say when she got to his home, she shot him three times, killing him instantly.

One of Marteese’s neighbour told authorities during an interview.

 “I was washing dishes when I heard the gunshots,  I couldn’t believe it was happening in our neighborhood and when I heard who I was equally shocked.”

Jessica is currently being charged with first degree murder and being held without bail.

A mother who was told her baby died 50 years ago was both shocked and elated when she met her full grown daughter who was adopted at birth by another family.

For 76-year-old Zella Price of Missouri, USA, it was tears of joy after she was reunited with her daughter 50 years after she was told that the baby died at birth.

Price described her shock and happiness after learning that her daughter was alive.

50 years ago, Price gave birth to a baby girl at the Homer G. Phillips Hospital in St. Louis, and she was told that her baby died. However, the baby was alive and was adopted by another family.

Her daughter, Melanie Diane Gilmore, was looking for her mother for a long time, and with the help of her children, she traced down her birth mother, and the two recently met for the first time.

Price said that she is hurt by the years of separation, but is grateful for this second chance.

Gilmore who lost her hearing at 3 years old, because of a childhood illness communicated her excitement using sign language.

The emotional reunion between the mother and daughter was captured on video as Gilmore and her children met her mother and her family members. Sadly, her father passed away a few years ago.

The family said that they will launch an investigation into what happened at the hospital when their daughter was born.

Mom Arrested For Dumping Child In The Bush To Have Good Time With Lover

A bad mother has been arrested for abandoning her disabled child in the bush for days while she parties with her boyfriend.

A Philadelphia, USA woman, Nyia Parler, has been arrested and charged to court for dumping her disabled son in a bush so she could go and have a good time with her lover, reports Mirror.

The police in Philadelphia said they discovered the heartbreaking in a wooded park as the  severely disabled 21-year-old young man was abandoned with only a blanket and a Bible, with his wheelchair 10 feet away, cruelly out of reach of the paralysed youth.

Police believe the 21-year-old paraplegic who depends on help to meet his basic needs may have been there for days, but when they contacted the young man’s mom, she said the disabled man in her care was with her in Maryland.

The local news reported that Nyia would face charges of aggravated assault, simple assault, reckless endangerment, neglect of a care of a dependent person, unlawful restraint, kidnapping and false imprisonment for leaving her son for days in the woods without care.

When found, he was cold, wet, and alone but fortunately still alive.

The unnamed youth is now being cared for at a local hospital where he faces a number of issues after being abandoned.
