Nollywood Actress Kate Henshaw Picks House Of Rep Nomination Form. Wishing her the best!

By @glazedlens "4 years ago I called Kate wondering what she was doing at a polling station calling out names... she asked who called to give me this info. "Wo I came to vote but it was chaotic so I decided to help the workers organise so that people will not wait long in the hot sun". That is how my client hired herself as a volunteer for the next few weeks at the polling station in Lekki. There are so many stories like this where Kate volunteers herself and time to worthwhile causes without publicising it. Suffice it to say that I am not surprised that she has chosen this path. She is naturally a people person and has the energy to pursue this goal. I support her aspirations. Good luck KDGR8" I THANK YOU MILDRED FOR THE SUPPORT. YOU HAVE MADE AN IMPACT IN MY LIFE AND I HAVE LEARNED A LOT. GOD BLESS YOU IMMENSELY. AMEN.

Man Explains Why He Cut Off His man-hood, See What He Says…

A man who goes by the name of “Gelding” recently opened up about why he decided to cut his man-hood and testicles off and become a “nullo.” That is, a man who has removed his s*x organ.

n-NULLO-large570  ASASAS

“The average person of both sexes will think I’m unbalanced,” Gelding told The Huffington Post in an email.

“[That's] their laymen’s knee-jerk reaction.”

Before he was able to get his man-hood removed, Gelding said, he had to have several consultations with a doctor.

“In my case, my psychologist took me through a number of long dialogue sessions and a full battery of personality tests to develop a formal profile,” Gelding said. “His finding was that I’d be better off in a ‘whole person’ view after having my man-hood removed. That was sufficient to sway a urologist to agree to do the procedure. More harm would result in the long term from not doing the procedure than doing it.”

In an interview with Gawker, Gelding explains what people often misunderstand about “nullos” and what the advantages and drawbacks are of joining this club.

Entertainers are going into politics for money – Clarion Chukwurah

9ice, Desmond Elliot, Kate Henshaw, Kenneth Okonkwo are a few of Nigerian entertainers who have gone into politics and actress Clarion Chukwurah thinks its because of money. Speaking exclusively to Punch, Clarion said a lot of these entertainers want to go into politics because they are not making that much money from their vocations.

“The motive of those who are embracing partisan politics is purely monetary. Let us call a spade a spade. If you tell me that you want to go into politics to serve the people, I would want to look at your record first. I want to see what you have done to better the lives of the people in your immediate community. How many boreholes have you sunk in the community? How many hours of community service have you given for free over the last four or five years? How well are you known as somebody who yearns for improvement in social development?”

Clarion also criticized the leadership of the AGN. Ibinabo Fiberesima was re-elected AGN president yesterday

“I said earlier that I wanted to take charge of the AGN because I saw that those who were running the body lacked the experience necessary to turn it around and to change the face of the film industry. It was clear that those in charge had not real agenda for the guild and they didn’t know what to do to turn it around.
“Also, I observed that some people already felt that being in charge was the same thing as being in a position to hobnob with top politicians in the corridors of power and to get money from various interest groups in the country. And there was so much desperation on the part of the leadership of the guild to hold on to power because they see their position as a platform to make money.”

NIGERIAN YOUNG PROFESSIONALS HAIL NDDC, SEEKS TO REPOSITION THE YOUTHS

The Nigerian Young Professionals Forum (NYPF) has applauded the efforts of the Niger Delta Development Commission, NDDC, for repositioning the youths and building their capacity as part of its contribution to the transformation agenda of the Federal Government. The Chairman of the Nigerian Professionals Youth Forum ( NYPF), Mr. Moses Siasia, made the commendation on Tuesday at the commission’s headquarters in Port Harcourt while presenting an award of excellence to the Board and Management of the NDDC.

He said that NYPF, which is a non-governmental organization, highly appreciated the support the NDDC had been giving to it to promote the cause of changing the lives of young people and re-shaping the morals of youths in the Niger Delta, as well as helping them to be engaged in productive ventures.

“We believe that some of our youths have lost their bearing in terms of ethics and values. So, we need to re-orientate them to let them know that they have a role to play in nation building. The future belongs to the youths, therefore, we must work constructively to safeguard it for them,” Siasia said.

The NYPF chairman said that the group was reaching out to over 13 million youths globally through the social media network, stating that the young professionals had effective presence in 15 countries, including the United Kingdom and France. He said that the US chapter of the NYPF would be inaugurated on September 27.

Pastor Chris Oyakhilome Addresses Congregation On Divorce Suit By Wife, Admits It’s Unbiblical

Pastor Christian Oyakhilome finally addressed his church congregation about the divorce suit brought against him bu his wife, and the attendant allegations of adultery in the press. This is coming after more than a week of maintaining silence other than threatening the media through his lawyers a few days ago.

Speaking on Sunday evening during the monthly global communion service of the church, he said the allegations of adultery against him were “crazy” and “stupid”. Oyakhilome acknowledged that divorce is unbiblical but said he will answer his wife in court if she insisted on it [read here]. He urged members of his church to pray for his estranged wife.
I understand that some media houses particularly in Nigeria and maybe in South Africa (I don’t know) but there are some of them that have been writing some real stupid things…real stupid things, and errrrhh…frivolous charges…that’s crazy.

A man of God…you have to understand something about a Man of God. A man of God is
not just someone who worships God or who preaches God. A man of God is directed by God, set on course by God. If you study the scriptures you will not find one Man of God going against God, sinning against God, the only thing you can find is a Man of God, maybe…in two different things
1. Moses for example, when he struck the rock twice, provoked by the anger of the people, not because he wanted to do something against the Lord. No Man of God does something against the Lord. Are you hearing me? No!…a Man of God is set on course, there is a type of life that he’s been given, alright?
2. Then you have a young man, a young prophet, he wasn’t named, he was deceived by another Man of God, and so he went in the direction God says don’t go.
That’s only the kind of thing you’d find about a Man of God when he misses the message of God or he acts beyond what God said. But a Man of God setting himself in defiance to the word of God and living like they (media houses) are writing those stupid things that I did this, that I did that…You don’t know what a Man of God is.. I don’t go in that direction. That’s crazy.
I wasn’t accused of those things you (media houses) said, nor did I commit those stupid thing that you said…and I don’t need to go to that level and such discussions. Jesus Christ was accused by many, with lots of frivolous charges. There would ALWAYS be those who’d like for it to be true, but you know, in spite of the accusations against Jesus, it didn’t change who he was!

SEE Why Asari Is Saying Boko Haram Did Not Kidnap the Chibok Girls

People like Asari Dokubo and those who reason like him are finding it difficult to separate the deadly activities of the Boko Haram sect from politics. I, Olu Famous, was working in a Newspaper firm in Rivers State when Asari was terrorising the Niger Delta, I know many things people say about him are not true.

Below are Asari’s positions and why he thinks the girls were not kidnapped by Boko Haram…

BREAKING: Boko Haram Shoots Obasanjo’s Son in Mubi

There is serious fear in the land. Boko Haram terrorists on Monday attacked a platoon led by the son of former President Olusegun Obasanjo, shooting him in the cross fire. He sustained serious injuries to his legs and was being transported to the hospital at the time of this report.

Adeboye Obasanjo, an army engineer, is a Lieutenant Colonel. He and his platoon were engaged with Boko Haram at Baza, which is the village of the General Officer Commanding (GOC) of the 3rd division when the incident took place.

The Lieutenant Agwu of the 234 battalion, GOC of the 3rd Division, Major Gen JS Zaruwa and Col. Victor Ebhaleme who serves as the Brigade Commander of the 23rd Army brigade in Yola were all together advancing towards Michika when Boko Haram fighters unleashed the deadly attack on the soldiers…

24 soldiers in the platoon were reportedly killed by the militants.

Apart from the dead soldiers, the army also lost an armored tank to the militants. As a result of the attack, the army has moved sensitive weapons from mubi to the Brigade headquarters in Yola leaving mubi vulnerable to attack. The town of Mubi has practically been deserted following the closure of schools and massive retreat of soldiers from the city.

President Obasanjo, who is also trying to mediate in the Boko Haram saga, is said to be out of the country.

Where Is Gwoza Sef? President Jonathan Asks during Meeting

In a bizarre tale that illustrates how Nigeria is run, President Goodluck Jonathan arrived two weeks ago at a top secret meeting with the exiled Emir of Gwoza, the newly-named headquarters of Boko Haram’s so-called “Islamic Caliphate,” with no knowledge of the location of Gwoza, presidency sources at the meeting disclosed.

The Emir, Muhammed Timta, escaped after the militants invaded Gwoza on August 16 and took over his palace. He arrived in Abuja after first making his way to Maiduguri to escape further attempts on his life. His father, Idrissa Timta, had died in a Boko Haram ambush on May 30, 2014 as Boko Haram ambushed his convoy on his way to the burial of the Emir of Gombe.

Shortly after Timta’s arrival in Abuja, President Jonathan sent for the Emir, who was accompanied to the meeting by a Borno Senator, Ali Ndume. However, to the utter shock of the Emir, President Jonathan did not know where Gwoza was located: Adamawa or Borno State.

Presidency sources said silence enveloped the room after President Jonathan, apparently lacking basic knowledge about Nigeria or a briefing by his numerous aides and security agencies, asked in condescending pidgin, “Where’s Gwoza sef?”

Mr. Jonathan then promised to ‘liberate’ Gwoza after Senator Ndume told him Gwoza was his home town and that it is located in Borno State.

Ebola: Catholic Church Stops Handshake, Announces New Service Procedure

The Catholic Archdiocese of Abuja on Sunday announced new procedures for worshippers at Masses to check likely spread of the Ebola virus.

catholic-church

The procedures which include the administration of the Holy Communion on the palm of the faithful as against placing it on the tongue of the recipient, was announced by Rev. Fr. Moses Jimbili, at SS Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Nyanya.

Jimbili told parishioners at the church that the measure was a directive by the Catholic Archbishop of Abuja, His Eminence, John Cardinal Onaiyekan, as check on the spread of Ebola disease.

Other change in the church’s practice was the stoppage of hand shake by worshippers done during consecration of the Holy Communion as sign of peace.

NAN also reports that Onaiyekan’s directive is contained in a statement issued by the Director of Social Communications in the archdiocese, Rev. Fr. Patrick Alumunku.

“Due to the prevailing national situation on the Ebola Virus Disease (EVD), I am directing that the following pastoral guidelines should be observed throughout our Archdiocese till further notice.
